Job summary

The Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead by example across all departments, ensuring outstanding service for every guest touchpoint. You will take ownership of day-to-day operations, contribute to staff development, and uphold brand service standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Designed for a proactive leader, this role requires strong supervision of F&B operations, close collaboration with department heads, and a hands-on approach to guest

Qualifications

• Proven experience at management level in Food & Beverage operations within the hospitality industry
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to liaise effectively with Heads of Departments and lead teams during critical situations
• Excellent guest service orientation with demonstrated ability to handle complaints professionally and deliver service recovery
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across various operational areas

Responsibilities

• Liaise with all HODs daily to ensure sufficient staffing levels
• Ensure the operation across areas runs to agreed standards and address discrepancies
• Be operationally responsible for service delivery and standards when on duty
• Patrol the building to ensure exits are unobstructed and in proper order
• Maintain lobby presence during peak check-in/out, lunch, and banqueting periods
• Ensure the highest level of cleanliness in all areas
• Interact with customers to obtain feedback and address guest problems
• Keep signage up to date and professionally displayed
• Lead the team during fire alarm scenarios
• Oversee back-of-house areas for cleanliness and condition
• Handle all complaints calmly and recover service
• Involve in training and complete projects as directed by Operations Manager
• Maintain all relevant Duty Manager documentation
