Job summary

The Johnstown Estate in Ireland is seeking an Accommodation Porter to warmly welcome guests, assist with luggage, escort them to rooms, and introduce the hotel's amenities.

You will work closely with the front desk and housekeeping to ensure a seamless check-in and check-out, respond to guest inquiries, and help deliver a high standard of service throughout the stay. Excellent communication, a friendly disposition, and a proactive approach to guest needs are essential.

Qualifications

• Leaving cert or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years experience in a similar role, hospitality preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of the local area and attractions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Customer service oriented with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and assist with luggage.
• Escort guests to rooms and explain amenities.
• Answer guest inquiries and provide local area information.
• Assist with special requests, including room service or transportation.
• Maintain lobby and public areas.
• Assist with bed stripping, room cleaning, and laundry to pantries.
• Stock and clear pantries.
• Deliver guest amenities to rooms.
• Coordinate with front desk to ensure smooth check-in/out.
• Provide outstanding customer service and anticipate needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Accommodation Supervisor.
