Burton Sinclair is recruiting a Group Director of People and Strategy for a group of businesses operating across Ireland and the UK. You will shape the leadership, talent and organisational capacity needed to support that growth.

You’ll work closely with senior business leaders, with HR Managers reporting into you, to connect the group’s commercial plans with a clear people strategy.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in people strategy or organisational development.
• Experience across multiple businesses or locations.
• Commercial judgement linking people decisions to business performance.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and translate priorities into actions.

With significant growth planned across the businesses and workforce, this appointment will shape the leadership, talent and organisational capacity needed to support that growth.

You’ll work closely with senior business leaders, with HR Managers reporting into you, to connect the group’s commercial plans with a clear people strategy.

The role

You will:

• Develop the group’s people strategy, covering workforce planning, organisational structure and leadership capability.
• Coach and advise senior leaders, strengthening accountability and team performance.
• Build succession plans, talent pipelines and opportunities for career progression across the businesses.
• Develop shared people principles and a consistent employee experience, strengthening the group’s ability to attract and retain talent.
• Lead and develop the HR Managers, with oversight of people systems, employment governance and risk across Ireland and the UK.

About you

You bring senior leadership experience in people strategy or organisational development, ideally across multiple businesses or locations.

You have supported business growth and organisational change, developed leadership capability and led people or HR teams. Your commercial judgement helps you connect people decisions with business performance.

You can earn the confidence of senior leaders, challenge constructively and turn group priorities into practical action within individual businesses.
