Job summary

Mastercard in Dublin seeks a Senior Principal, Software Architect to define scalable Open Finance architecture and guide multi-year modernization. This hands-on role influences Product, Engineering, and Technology, delivering secure, compliant and cost-efficient solutions across markets.

Hybrid work with three onsite days per week. You will mentor engineers, promote reusable patterns, and drive cloud-native services for bank connectivity, consent management, and data sharing while balancing

Qualifications

• Proven experience in enterprise-scale architecture and platform strategy.
• Strong CS foundation with distributed platforms in regulated industries.
• Hands-on software engineering and prototype testing abilities.
• Experience leveraging generative AI to improve engineering productivity.
• Open Finance / Open Banking knowledge and cloud-native design.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the North Star architecture for Open Finance products.
• Develop phased roadmaps to modernize platforms with measurable outcomes.
• Lead architectural decisions across Product, Engineering and Tech.
• Mentor architects and engineers, promoting engineering excellence.
• Balance global consistency with local regulatory and privacy needs.
