Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an HR Services Associate Consultant to be the first point of contact for employee and manager queries across HR policies, programs and data. You will guide partners and managers, support HR programs and administer services across regions, rotating through workload as needed.

The role requires handling inquiries with accuracy, maintaining high service levels, and collaborating with senior analysts and managers to resolve issues while complying with policies and laws.

Qualifications

  • A College or University degree and/or relevant work experience in human resources is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex/non-routine inquiries.
  • Excellent customer service and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure with accuracy and high attention to detail.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work across multiple systems.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to employee and manager inquiries on HR policies and processes across channels (email, phone, case management).
  • Encourage self-service tools such as the HR Portal.
  • Escalate complex matters to subject matter experts as needed.
  • Maintain data accuracy and respond to data update requests.
  • Process HR service requests including organization changes, leave requests and onboarding.
  • Document case details in the case management system and adhere to SLAs.
