Role

The Senior HR Advisor partners with managers and employees to provide professional HR support across designated client groups. Acting as a trusted advisor, this role delivers practical HR solutions that support business objectives, promote employee engagement, and ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation. The role focuses on employee relations, risk mitigation, people management support, and the effective delivery of HR programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with managers on a wide range of employee relations and employment-related matters.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Support managers through organizational change and people-related initiatives.
  • Identify trends through HR case management and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Support the delivery of key HR programs, including performance management, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Coach managers on effective people management practices and leadership behaviours.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and specialist HR teams to deliver coordinated HR solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
  • Provide guidance on disciplinary matters, investigations, dispute resolution, and other employee relations issues.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Knowledge & Experience

Minimum of 7 years' experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or a related HR advisory role. Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment legislation. Experience managing employee relations matters and providing advice to managers. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills. Ability to balance business priorities with employee needs and manage risk effectively. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
