Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst on the Total Rewards team to design and manage global benefits programs. You’ll work across countries and models, coordinating with brokers and local vendors to keep plans compliant and user-friendly.

Focus areas include program implementation, enrollment accuracy, and data-driven improvements. We value AI-minded problem solving and strong collaboration across Payroll, Finance, and Legal.

Qualifications

• Proven track record owning global benefits programs, incl. brokers & vendors.
• Strong knowledge of core benefits concepts (medical, dental, vision, life, disability).
• Experience in multi-country environments with PEO/EOR providers.
• Experience supporting benefits during country expansions and transitions.
• Experience using HRIS and benefits tools with billing reconciliation and QA.
• Strong analytic skills using utilization, cost, survey data and pivot tables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; can explain complex topics clearly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fully remote environment.
• Curiosity about AI tools to improve benefits work; Workday preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with global benefits brokers and local vendors for renewals and operations.
• Lead end-to-end implementation of new and enhanced benefits programs.
• Manage day-to-day administration: eligibility, enrollment, billing, QA, issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Finance, People Ops, and People Tech for reporting and compliance.
• Coordinate benefits operations across countries and models (PEO, EOR, GitLab entities).
• Serve as point of contact for complex benefits inquiries with HelpLab and People Ops.
• Analyze utilization, cost, surveys to identify trends and make recommendations.
• Simplify, standardize, and automate benefits processes while focusing on user experience.
