Job summary

Clearwater Analytics seeks an Associate General Counsel – International to provide legal, compliance, and risk management guidance for its international operations, including contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, and data privacy for non-U.S. clients.

The role supports the Chief Legal Officer in Clearwater's international growth, serving as the legal touchpoint for regional leadership outside the U.S.

Qualifications

• LLB, JD or equivalent with license to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification legal experience, ideally including international/cross-border transactional law.
• Experience navigating multi-jurisdictional regulatory environments (e.g., EU, UK, APAC).
• Ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion with creative solutions while managing multiple projects.
• Fluency in French required.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal, compliance, and risk guidance for the international business, including contract negotiation, governance, regulatory compliance and privacy across jurisdictions.
• Reviews legal data and advises on appropriate legal action across international markets.
• Coordinates litigation and other matters handled by outside counsel in non-U.S. jurisdictions.
• Develops and negotiates complex licenses and commercial agreements for international technology, software, and services transactions.
