Job summary

Horizon Quantum Computing seeks a strategic Senior Legal Counsel (Director level) to lead the legal and compliance function. Reporting to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, this role guides the company through international markets, partnerships and strategies, ensuring highest legal and ethical standards globally.

The ideal candidate combines in-depth commercial law, IP, cross-border transactions, and data privacy with a proven track record in implementing robust compliance programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ PQE in related legal roles, with 3+ years in-house preferred.
• Experience with US-listed companies is advantageous.
• Strong background in international corporate law and global compliance.
• Proven ability to manage cross-border transactions and interact with regulatory bodies in multiple jurisdictions (EMEA, APAC, NA).
• Deep knowledge of international trade, anti-bribery regulations, and data privacy frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Executive advisory: provide actionable, business-focused legal counsel to the executive team on risks, regulatory changes, and compliance.
• Policy development: draft and maintain corporate policies reflecting evolving international law.
• Dispute resolution: manage litigation, arbitration, and regulatory disputes to protect the Company’s interests.
