Job summary

Travels Group in Ireland is seeking a Part-Time Legal Executive to support corporate governance, compliance, and contract work across the group. You will advise on local and international laws including data privacy and consumer protection, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, and manage risk with external counsel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Advises on and ensures compliance with local and international laws, including consumer protection, data privacy (GDPR), and e-commerce regulations.
• Maintains corporate governance standards for entities within the group structure.
• Monitors and implements changes in applicable legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a wide range of commercial agreements, including supplier contracts, client agreements, partnership agreements, and technology-related contracts.
• Ensures contractual terms align with the company's interests and risk tolerance.
• Identifies and mitigates legal and operational risks associated with global operations.
• Develops and implements legal strategies to address potential liabilities and challenges.
• Manages intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and licensing agreements.
• Supports the protection of proprietary technology and ensures compliance with software licensing.
• Oversees and manages disputes, litigation, and claims in coordination with external counsel when necessary.
• Resolves issues efficiently while minimizing financial and reputational risks.
• Provides legal guidance on business strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and market entry into new regions.
• Supports the product development team with regulatory and compliance advice to ensure alignment with global standards.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and marketing, to provide holistic legal support.
• Acts as a trusted advisor to senior management and the board of directors.
