Job summary

Kepak Cork in Watergrasshill is seeking General Operators for the Boning Hall. You will contribute to meat processing lines, preparing cuts and trims and helping meet production targets in a chilled factory setting.

The role requires physical work, lifting and standing, and the ability to work at pace with a safety-conscious approach. Full training is provided and a permanent contract is offered, with opportunities for progression and company benefits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cuts and trims of meat according to Kepak specifications.
• Work towards production targets and maintain line speed.
• Operate in a chilled area of the factory.
• Package meat products (steaks, chops, burgers, meatballs).
• Handle physical tasks including lifting and standing for long periods.
• Operate machinery only after training is provided.
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Line Supervisor.

Kepak Cork are looking for General Operators in our Boning Hall.

We are looking for people to join us in Kepak Cork where you will be part of a multi-cultural, diverse team. You will be given the opportunity to learn and expand your knowledge of the food industry as well as being given the chance to grow your career internally.

Working hours:

Boning Hall:Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm (approximately)

What to expect in the job?

The role will involve:

• As a vital member of the boning team at our factory, you'll skillfully prepare cuts and trims of meat according to Kepak's specifications while keeping pace with our production line.
• You'll be working towards exciting production targets.
• This position will see you based in a chilled area of the factory.
• Your responsibilities will include packaging a variety of meat products such as steaks, chops, burgers, and meatballs.
• We are looking for someone who can manage physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and maintaining a standing position for extended periods.
• You'll operate machinery only after receiving the necessary training.
• From time to time, you may be asked to take on additional responsibilities as outlined by your direct Line Supervisor.
