Job summary

SuperValu in Dunboyne, Ireland seeks an experienced Store Manager to ensure the store operates efficiently, delivers excellent customer service and a fresh food offer in a clean, safe environment. You will lead a team, drive sales, manage stock and KPIs, and embody the brand values of Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative.

As a hands-on leader you will foster teamwork, coach staff, optimise margins, and maintain high standards of presentation and customer care

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a management position.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Experience balancing cash/tills.
• Highly driven with a strong work ethic.
• Understanding of achieving KPIs and targets.
• Commercial mindset and brand awareness.
• Passion for grocery retail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Live SuperValu brand values and lead by example.
• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and KPIs as agreed with Store Manager.
• Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in store.
• Merchandise and present the store to the highest standard.
• Be approachable and a role model fostering teamwork and a positive workplace atmosphere.
• Develop and promote good communication between employees and management in a safe, respectful and inclusive environment.
• Support Store Manager in development and training of the team and smooth running of the store.
• Manage employee performance with regular feedback and recognition.
• Deal with customer queries efficiently, professionally and in line with store policy.
• Understand achieving margins in all departments.
• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
