Job summary

SuperValu in Maynooth is seeking a dedicated store supervisor to ensure efficient store operation, outstanding customer service and a strong fresh food offer in a clean, safe environment. You will lead a team, drive sales, and uphold the brand-values across the store.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a relevant retail/store role preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
• Experience balancing cash/tills.
• Understanding of KPIs and targets.
• Commercial mindset with brand awareness.

Responsibilities

• Set, monitor and achieve sales targets with the team on gross profit margin, net margin, waste and KPIs as agreed with Store Manager.
• Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in store.
• Merchandise and present the store to the highest standard.
• Lead by example and foster teamwork and a positive workplace atmosphere.
• Develop and promote effective communication between staff and management in a safe, respectful environment.
• Support Store Manager in training the team and ensuring smooth store operation.
• Manage employee performance with regular feedback, recognition and encouragement.
• Deal with customer queries professionally and in line with store policy.
• Understand achieving margins across all departments.
• Engage with new initiatives and adopt new ways of working.
