Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is recruiting a Verification Assurance Officer (VAO) to join a new central team. The role requires working on-site within Jobcentre locations, with frequent travel between sites and no hybrid or remote work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evidence interviews and verification activities with Jobcentre and Service Centre colleagues.
• Interview documents for identification, housing costs, children and childcare costs elements of Universal Credit.
• Lead and participate in review meetings when evidence is requested or required.
• Provide regular feedback on fraud trends to performance teams and risk units.
• Deliver customer education sessions on responsibilities and consequences of non-compliance.
• Maintain accurate Management Information (MI) as directed by analysts.
