Job summary

Solas IT Recruitment seeks a hands-on Front End Developer in Galway to join a growing Product and Engineering team. You will work on user-facing features with React and TypeScript, and leverage UX, UI design, and design systems.

You'll collaborate in Agile sprints with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to translate requirements into production-ready code, build reusable components, and champion accessibility and responsive design.

Qualifications

Experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Strong understanding of UX, interaction design and visual design.
Experience creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity designs using Figma or similar tools.
Experience with component-based design systems and reusable UI libraries.
Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams.

Responsibilities

Design and build intuitive, user-centred experiences across web and mobile applications.
Develop front-end features using React, JavaScript and TypeScript.
Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Software Engineers and stakeholders to translate requirements.
Create user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
Build and maintain reusable front-end components and design systems.
Ensure production-ready implementation and accessibility compliance.
Participate in Agile software development lifecycle and continuous improvement.
