Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is hiring an Assistant Manager to join the FAAS team within GCRS, delivering French GAAP-focused international compliance for publicly listed and multinational clients.

You will work with experienced managers, convert trial balances, and prepare statutory financial statements under French GAAP, while mentoring juniors and expanding your global network. This role emphasizes client service, quality, and cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Recognised accountancy qualification with strong French GAAP knowledge.
• Fluency in French and English; additional European language a plus.
• Experience in a top 20 accountancy firm is preferred.
• Experience preparing French GAAP financial statements and reviewing them.

Responsibilities

• Deliver international compliance engagements with focus on French GAAP accounting and tax requirements.
• Convert US GAAP or IFRS trial balances and prepare statutory financial statements to applicable requirements.
• Own the preparation of financial statements under French GAAP and other frameworks with thorough self-reviews.
• Develop technical papers and deliver training on French GAAP and country-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with clients and Grant Thornton colleagues across EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
• Manage assignments to meet budgets, timelines and filing deadlines.
• Mentor junior colleagues and share knowledge to support their development.
• Strengthen key client relationships locally and internationally.
