Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking an Assistant Manager to deliver international compliance engagements, focusing on French GAAP and tax requirements. You will convert US GAAP or IFRS trial balances into compliant financial statements and own the preparation under French GAAP with thorough reviews.

You will train colleagues, share knowledge, and collaborate across EMEA, APAC and the Americas, managing multiple priorities and delivering client excellence.

Qualifications

• Recognised accountancy qualification and strong French GAAP knowledge.
• Experience preparing and reviewing French GAAP financial statements.
• Experience in a top 20 accounting firm is advantageous.
• Fluency in French and English; multilingual ability is a plus.
• Knowledge of ONESOURCE for accounts preparation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver international compliance engagements focusing on French GAAP and tax requirements.
• Convert US GAAP or IFRS trial balances and prepare statutory financial statements.
• Own financial statement preparation under French GAAP with self-reviews.
• Develop technical accounting papers and deliver training on French GAAP and country rules.
• Collaborate with clients and Grant Thornton colleagues across EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
• Manage assignments to meet budgets, timelines and statutory deadlines.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment and resolve client challenges.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support their development.
• Strengthen client relationships locally and internationally.
