Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland seeks an Assistant Manager in the FAAS team within Global Compliance and Reporting Services (GCRS). You will support multinational clients, specialising in Spanish GAAP and cross-border reporting, delivering compliant financial statements and technical accounting papers.

Working with experienced teams across EMEA, you will mentor junior staff, manage assignments to budgets and deadlines, and develop your expertise in Spanish GAAP and related tax requirements.

Qualifications

• Recognised accountancy qualification and strong Spanish GAAP knowledge; 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience preparing Spanish GAAP financial statements at varying complexity.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; knowledge of ONESOURCE beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Deliver international compliance engagements focusing on Spanish GAAP and tax requirements.
• Convert US GAAP or IFRS balances to Spanish GAAP and prepare compliant financial statements.
• Take ownership of financial statement prep under Spanish GAAP with thorough self-reviews.
• Develop technical papers and training on Spanish GAAP for clients and colleagues.
• Collaborate with clients and Grant Thornton teams across EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
• Manage assignments to budgets, timelines and statutory filing deadlines.
• Mentor junior colleagues and strengthen client relationships.
• Support and contribute to a growing, high-performing team.
