Job summary

Réalta Technologies in Cork, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Foxboro Tester/Automation Engineer to support a pharmaceutical project on site.

Réalta Technologies are searching for an experienced Foxboro Tester/Automation Engineer to support a pharmaceutical project based in Cork.

The role will focus on testing and verifying Foxboro DCS code against design documentation, identifying issues and ensuring automation functionality meets the required specifications. Experience with Foxboro DCS is highly desirable, with DeltaV or other DCS experience also considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Test and verify Foxboro DCS code against approved design documentation and specifications.
• Review automation code and confirm that functionality matches the intended design.
• Execute functional and system testing, identifying and documenting any issues or discrepancies.
• Work closely with Automation Engineers and Subject Matter Experts to resolve testing issues.
• Support modifications and updates to automation code where required.
• Ensure testing activities and results are accurately documented and traceable.
• Review technical documentation and identify gaps or inconsistencies between design and implementation.
• Support automation activities within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Key Requirements

• 3–5+ years' experience in Automation, DCS Testing or a similar role.
• Strong experience with Foxboro DCS.
• Experience testing DCS code against design specifications/documentation.
• Good understanding of process control, automation and instrumentation.
• Experience with DeltaV or other DCS platforms would be beneficial.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret automation code and technical design documentation.
• Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences experience is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineering teams.
