SimoTech are seeking a Foxboro Automation Engineer to join our team, supporting a global pharmaceutical client of ours, onsite in their large Cork campus, which includes multiple high-technology manufacturing platforms.

Working in a hybrid capacity, you will join our embedded team working on automation projects across production and utilities, including supporting the deployment of a Syncade MES project for downstream processing.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience working with DCS Batch Automation systems such as Foxboro and have worked on the commissioning and qualification of automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting automation projects in a biopharma process.
• Development of Functional and Detailed Design Specifications.
• Configuration and testing of automated systems.
• Provide support with commissioning and qualification.
• Work with process, project and engineering to plan and deliver projects.
• Ensure project schedule is in line with project timelines and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or Life Sciences.
• Minimum of 3+ years DCS Batch Automation Experience with automation systems such as ABB, Foxboro or DeltaV.
• Strong knowledge of S-88 Batch Standard.
• Chemical API experience.
• Ability to interact and communicate with other engineering and business disciplines.
• Good understanding on GAMP.
