Job summary

O’Neill & Brennan are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to oversee day-to-day delivery of projects across Leinster. The role involves coordinating site operations, managing teams, subcontractors and materials to ensure safety, quality and on-program delivery across local authority projects.

The successful candidate will possess proven site leadership, strong planning skills and a hands-on approach, with Safe Pass and Manual Handling qualifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman, Site Supervisor or Site Manager.
• Strong leadership, organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Current Safe Pass and Manual Handling qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, plant and materials to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Plan and monitor daily/weekly works to meet programme, deadlines, safety and quality requirements.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and work schedules to ensure works are completed correctly and to standard.
• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, local authorities and other project stakeholders.

Overview:

O’Neill & Brennan are currently recruiting an experienced Construction Foreman on behalf of our client to oversee the day-to-day delivery of construction projects across Leinster. The successful candidate will take a hands-on role in coordinating site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to a high standard across a diverse portfolio of local authority and public sector projects.

Responsibilities:

• Manage construction and minor works projects across Leinster, including local authority housing, refurbishment, maintenance and public realm schemes.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, plant and materials to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Plan and monitor daily/weekly works to meet programme, client deadlines, safety and quality requirements.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and work schedules to ensure works are completed correctly and to standard.
• Monitor resources, workmanship and site progress while maintaining accurate HSQE and site records.
• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, local authorities and other project stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman, Site Supervisor or Site Manager.
• Strong experience managing sites, subcontractors and direct labour.
• Good knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and programme delivery.
• Current Safe Pass and Manual Handling qualifications.
• Strong leadership, organisational, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Confident coordinating site teams, suppliers, clients and subcontractors
