Job summary

Global Professional Consultants Ireland is seeking a Foreman for civil engineering projects in Dublin and Wexford. The role involves managing on-site teams, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and coordinating with project managers to keep projects on schedule.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in civil engineering, strong leadership skills, and the ability to read technical drawings. Competitive salary (€65k – €75k DOE) and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

My client, Ireland’s top Civil Engineering main contractor based in Ireland and the UK are now searching for a Foreman for projects in Dublin and Wexford.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise on‑site teams, including tradespeople and subcontractors, ensuring work is carried out safely and to specifications.
• Coordinate daily activities, liaising with project managers, engineers, and planners to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Monitor work quality and compliance with project requirements, standards, and regulations.
• Enforce health and safety guidelines, conduct risk assessments, and ensure a safe working environment.
• Order and allocate materials, tools, and equipment as needed, and monitor usage.
• Identify and address any site issues swiftly to minimise delays or disruptions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Foreperson on civil engineering projects, preferably within Ireland or the UK.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods and materials.
• In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative approach to team management.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Full Irish driver’s license.
