Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Site Manager / Foreman for a €5M commercial new build project in Kildare. This role requires management of multiple subcontractors and involves coordinating construction activities, ensuring compliance and quality of work. The ideal candidate has a strong trades background or a degree in Construction Management and at least 5 years of experience in sizeable commercial developments. A competitive salary of €65,000 - €80,000 plus benefits is offered.

Overview

INFORM3 Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Main Contractor for:

Job Title – Site Manager / Foreman

Project – Commercial New build - €5M +

Job Location – Kildare

Salary – €65,000 - €80,000 + van

*Salary Negotiable depending on experience*

About the Company

Consistently busy main contractor who have a strong foothold in the midlands and south Leinster area. They have increased turnover year on year and are set to do so again this year.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager or Foreman with experience in new build construction to oversee an interesting project in the Kildare area with a good duration.

Applicants must have experience taking commercial projects from site set up, out of the ground to finishing and handover.

The Role

• Coordinate and monitor and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
• Modify and update the project programme with senior management to ensure key milestones are met.
• Liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme.
• Report to the Projects Manager and Contracts Manager.
• Direct and Manage personnel, site staff and subcontractors and manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops and plan actions.
• Overcome any issues that may arise during the construction phase in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure that H&S and Company Compliance procedures are adhered to.
• Monitor construction to ensure quality of work and coordinate and liaise with Contracts & Projects Manager, Site Engineers and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.

Requirements

• Strong Trades background (joinery carpentry preferred) or Degree in Construction Management or similar
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working on sizeable commercial developments in Ireland.
• Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines.
• Experience managing multiple subcontractors at a time.
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint with Excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.
