Job summary

The Hardiman in Galway is seeking enthusiastic, hardworking individuals to join our Food & Beverage team as a Food & Beverage Assistant. You will deliver amazing service and maintain high standards in a busy hotel environment.

Fluent English and excellent communication are essential; prior hotel experience is preferred, and Micros experience is a plus. You will greet regular guests by name, know the menu, and have opportunities to up-sell. Email [e-mail] for details.

Qualifications

• Fluent English and excellent communication are essential for guest interaction.
• Experience in a hotel setting is advantageous for understanding service standards.
• Ability to learn menu details and make beverage/wine recommendations.
• Willingness to work across different areas (lounge, restaurant, etc.).
• Prior experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments is desirable.

The Role

• Delivery of amazing service and consistently high standards at all time.
• Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly using their name.
• Ensure a good working knowledge of food, all beverages and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
• Assisting in lounge, restaurant or other departments as required.

The Person

• Previous hotel experience in a 4/5-star hotel property is preferred.
• Previous experience in a high volume/ fast paced environment.
• Previous experience in a busy food and beverage operation.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Micros Experience would be preferable.
