Job summary

The Hardiman in Galway is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our luxury hotel team. You will deliver exceptional service, greet guests by name, and have a strong knowledge of beverages and wine.

Bring cocktail and mixology skills, a high-volume service mindset, and a friendly, professional attitude. Weekend and midweek availability is preferred, and Micros POS experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel experience in a 4/5-star property preferred.
• Cocktail/mixology experience desirable.
• Midweek and Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver amazing service and maintain high standards at all times.
• Greet regular guests by name and personalise service.
• Know beverages and wine; make recommendations.
• Prepare bespoke and signature cocktails.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Upsell to maximise sales revenue whenever possible.

The Role

• Delivery of amazing service and consistently high standards at all time.
• Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly using their name.
• Ensure a good working knowledge of food, all beverages and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
• Preparation of bespoke and signature cocktails.
• Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
• Up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
• Assisting in lounge, restaurant or other departments as required.

The Person

• Previous hotel experience in a 4/5-star hotel property is preferred.
• Cocktail/Mixology experience is desirable.
• Previous experience in a high volume/ fast paced environment.
• Previous experience in a busy food and beverage operation.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Micros Experience would be preferable.
• Mid Week and Weekend availability required.
