Job summary
OBW Technologies Ltd. is seeking a Fire Systems Maintenance Technician to join our onsite engineering team at a major semiconductor campus in Leixlip.
The role focuses on planned and corrective maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems in a busy manufacturing environment, ensuring life safety infrastructure remains compliant and reliable. You will support system upgrades, small projects, commissioning activities and continuous improvement alongside customer engineers, contractors and OEM
Qualifications
- Fire alarm maintenance experience including planned maintenance and breakdown response.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.
- Knowledge of I.S. 3218 or other relevant fire detection and alarm standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and system documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail, safety awareness and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventive maintenance on fire detection and life safety systems.
- Complete routine tests of detectors, modules and field devices.
- Carry out scheduled fire alarm testing and health checks.
- Diagnose faults across fire detection and life safety systems.
- Escalate complex issues to OEMs and engineering specialists.
- Support risk assessments and regulatory/compliance activities.
