Job summary

OBW Technologies in Leixlip, Ireland, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain Life Safety and Hazardous Process Monitoring systems for a leading semiconductor campus. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and close collaboration with site teams to ensure uptime and safety.

You will work within a structured 24/7 shift pattern, with a mix of day and night shifts and a shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Automation or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in an industrial manufacturing or process environment.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work in a structured shift environment.
• Full driving license.
• Experience with fixed gas detection systems.
• Instrumentation/controls or automation experience.
• Semiconductor or highly regulated manufacturing environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and continuously improve Life Safety and Hazardous Process Monitoring systems across a large semiconductor campus.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on fixed gas detection and Life Safety Systems.
• Carry out inspections, testing, calibration and health checks; respond to alarms and incidents.
• Support system upgrades, commissioning and infrastructure improvements.
• Participate in reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure highest system availability to support critical manufacturing operations.
• Document maintenance activities, permits, RAMS and compliance records.
• Collaborate with customers, facilities and engineering teams to deliver high service standards.
