Job summary

Walls Construction is seeking a Finishing Supervisor to oversee all finishing trades on Dublin-based residential projects. The role suits a trade-qualified professional with a carpentry background and a keen eye for detail.

You will supervise carpentry, joinery, drylining, painting, tiling, flooring, kitchens, wardrobes, and final fit-out works, ensuring work is safe, on schedule, and to exacting standards.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ site management experience.
• Experience with main contractor; large-scale residential/commercial projects.
• Trades background or third-level qualification.
• Proven experience as Finishing Supervisor or Senior Carpenter on residential projects.
• Strong knowledge of finishing trades and high-end residential finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Good understanding of Irish building regulations and H&S requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple trades and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate finishing trades including carpentry, joinery, drylining, painting, tiling, flooring, kitchens, wardrobes, and final fit-out works
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification
• Ensure finishes meet Walls Construction’s quality standards and client expectations
• Carry out snagging inspections, manage snag lists, and ensure timely close-out
• Coordinate with Site Manager, Project Manager, design teams, and subcontractors
• Monitor progress against programme and report issues or delays
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
• Maintain accurate site records, inspections, and progress reports
• Assist with handover processes, including final inspections and client walkthroughs

PE Global are delighted to be working with a very good client of ours who are a leading tier 1 Building and Fit Out contractor, head office based in Dublin 17. We are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Supervisor to join our team on Dublin-based residential projects. This role is ideal for a trade-qualified professional from a carpentry background with strong attention to detail and proven experience managing finishing stages on high-quality housing or apartment developments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external finishing works, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard, on programme, and in compliance with health & safety and quality requirements. Project locations include D16 and D12. You’ll be based on one project only, please specify if you have a preferred project location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all finishing trades including carpentry, joinery, drylining, painting, tiling, flooring, kitchens, wardrobes, and final fit-out works
• Supervise and direct subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
• Ensure all finishes meet Walls Construction’s quality standards and client expectations
• Carry out snagging inspections, manage snag lists, and ensure timely close-out
• Coordinate with Site Manager, Project Manager, design teams, and subcontractors

Requirements:

• 6+ years’ site management experience
• Previous main contractor experience; ideally large-scale structural, external, and groundworks on commercial, mixed-use, residential, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects
• Third-level qualification or trades background (excellent knowledge of trades)
• Proven experience as a Finishing Supervisor or Senior Carpenter on residential construction projects
• Strong knowledge of finishing trades and high-end residential finishes
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
• Good understanding of Irish building regulations and H&S requirements
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple trades simultaneously
