Job summary

Irish Main Contractor delivering large scale residential developments in Cork seeks an experienced Finishing Foreman to lead finishing works on a multi-million euro residential project. You will coordinate internal trades, manage snagging, and drive finishes to a high standard in line with the programme and handover requirements.

You will report to the Site Manager and Project Manager, supervising finishing trades, ensuring quality, safety, and on-time handover.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a Finishing Foreman or Finishing Supervisor on residential construction projects.
• Proven experience required managing finishing trades, snagging and handover.
• Strong knowledge of residential finishes and quality standards.
• Experience working with a main contractor or residential developer in Ireland is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage finishing trades and subcontractors on site.
• Coordinate internal finishing works in line with programme.
• Oversee snagging and de snagging of residential units.
• Monitor quality of finishes and ensure defects are closed out promptly.
• Coordinate inspections and prepare units for handover.
• Work closely with the Site Manager to maintain programme and quality standards.
• Ensure finishing works are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements.

The Company

This Irish main contractor has a strong track record delivering commercial, residential and mixed use construction projects across Cork and the wider Munster region.

They are currently delivering a €multi million residential development in Cork City and are looking to bring an experienced Finishing Foreman into the site team to take control of finishing works, snagging and handover.

The Role: Finishing Foreman

As Finishing Foreman, you will take responsibility for the finishing stages of this residential development in Cork, coordinating internal trades and ensuring apartments and common areas are brought through snagging to a high standard.

Working closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager, you will drive finishing works to programme, manage subcontractors and ensure quality finishes are achieved ahead of inspection and handover.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have previous experience as a Finishing Foreman or Finishing Supervisor on residential construction projects
• Proven experience required managing finishing trades, snagging and handover
• Strong knowledge of residential finishes and quality standards
• Experience working with a main contractor or residential developer in Ireland is required

Preferred Experience

• Experience on large scale apartment or housing developments preferred
• Strong understanding of finishing sequences and trade coordination
• Experience managing units through snagging, de snagging and final handover beneficial

About You

You will be an experienced Finishing Foreman with a strong residential construction background and a good eye for quality.

You should be comfortable managing multiple finishing trades, driving subcontractors and maintaining standards when the programme is tight. A practical understanding of snagging, quality finishes and residential handover is essential.
