Job summary

Leinster Appointments Ltd is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for a busy Dublin operation in Finglas (Dublin 11). You will take ownership of day-to-day warehouse running, lead a team, and ensure safe, efficient operations with excellent customer service.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will optimise stock management, coordinate with UK and Customs teams, and drive continuous improvement across processes and service levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' management experience in a large, busy warehouse.
• Strong stock management and inventory control experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Lead and develop warehouse staff, promoting safety and teamwork.
• Organise shifts and respond to operational needs from senior management.

Job description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established Irish logistics and freight company for anexperienced Warehouse Managerto join their busy operation inFinglas, Dublin 11.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys taking ownership, leading a team and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The Role

Reporting directly to theGeneral Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring operations are safe, efficient, commercially focused and consistently deliver a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily warehouse operation, ensuring efficiency, productivity, cost control and customer satisfaction.
• Lead, motivate and develop warehouse staff, ensuring high standards of performance, teamwork and adherence to safety procedures.
• Organise shifts and respond effectively to operational requirements and requests from senior management.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with UK operations and Customs Clearance teams to ensure smooth movement of freight.
• Monitor warehouse performance, costs, margins and profitability, working closely with the Head of Finance.
• Take responsibility for accurate and timely monthly invoicing of warehouse customers and identify opportunities to maximise revenue.
• Maintain effective warehouse security procedures and ensure all site security requirements are met.
• Take ownership of Health & Safety across the site, maintaining records, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure the warehouse and yard are maintained to a high standard of housekeeping and organisation.
• Oversee the accurate measuring and cubing of incoming freight and ensure all relevant documentation is amended correctly.
• Maintain effective stock management and control.
• Manage company stock held at third-party warehouse facilities when required.
• Ensure all warehouse activities are carried out professionally, efficiently and in line with company standards.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational processes and service levels.
• Take a hands-on approach when required and support the wider operation to achieve business objectives.

The Person

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A minimum of 3 years' management experiencewithin a large, busy warehouse environment.
• Strong experience instock management and inventory control.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to work independently, take ownership and make sound operational decisions.
• Experience using aWarehouse Management System (WMS), ideally Azyra or a similar system.
• A strong understanding of warehouse processes, logistics and operational best practice.
• Experience managing and developing warehouse teams.

The Person

We're looking for someone who isorganised, commercially aware and solutions-focused, with the confidence to take ownership of a busy warehouse operation.

You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you'll be working closely with colleagues across multiple departments, customers, suppliers and transport partners.
