Job summary

Logiskills is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for a busy Finglas warehouse operating 06:00 to 20:00. You will run day-to-day operations, including cross-dock activities, with a focus on efficiency, cost control, customer satisfaction and profitability across all business units.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of management experience in a large, busy warehouse.
• Experience in stock management and control.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.
• Proficiency in a Warehouse Management System (Azyra or similar).
• Clear, accurate communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including cross-docking, ensuring efficiency, budget compliance, customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Organise shift functions and carry out requests from the senior management team.
• Motivate and train the team to deliver strong performance, productivity and adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage internal and external relationships between this site and other group operations, including UK operations and Customs Clearance.
• Maintain direct relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Work closely with the Head of Finance to review monthly, quarterly and annual reports, analysing costs, margins and profitability and acting on any issues arising.
• Take responsibility for accurate monthly invoicing of all warehouse customers and for maximising revenue opportunities.
• Maintain all warehouse security processes.
• Own Health & Safety on site, keeping records, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement.
• Ensure all activities are carried out professionally, with effective staff management and use of resources.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse and yard.
• Control accurate measuring and cubing of freight arriving at the warehouse and amend paperwork accordingly.
• Contribute to service improvements across the operation.
• Manage company stock at third-party warehouses where required.

We are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Manager for a busy, fast-moving warehouse that operates between the hours of 06:00 and 20:00 hrs in Finglas, Dublin 11. Reporting to the General Manager, you will run day-to-day operations, including cross-dock activity, with a focus on efficiency, cost control, customer satisfaction and profitability across all business units. Our client is an established Irish logistics and freight company with offices across Ireland and the UK. It operates scheduled services between its five locations and offers overnight express groupage, full-load freight to and from the island of Ireland, and import and export ocean freight. Its wider services include European trailer services, a bulk chemical tanker service, worldwide freight forwarding, warehousing and air freight.
