Pivotal Recruitment Limited in Dublin 22 is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse operations, ensure safe, efficient receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of goods, and drive improvements across the site.

You will manage and develop the warehouse team, monitor KPIs, costs, and service levels, and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations while coordinating with suppliers and transport providers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse/operations management role in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and warehouse procedures.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and stock control processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, picking and dispatch.
• Lead, motivate and develop Warehouse Supervisors, Team Leads and General Operatives.
• Plan rota, training, performance and development across the team.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and procedures.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join one of our client's operations teams based in Dublin 22.

The Warehouse Manager will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of goods.

The successful candidate will lead and develop the warehouse team, manage operational performance and drive continuous improvement, stock accuracy, Health & Safety and customer service standards.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Lead, motivate and develop Warehouse Supervisors, Team Leads and General Operatives.
• Manage team training, performance, development and rota planning.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and warehouse procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor and manage stock accuracy, including stock takes, cycle counts and investigation of discrepancies.
• Plan warehouse resources including labour, equipment and space utilisation.
• Set, monitor and report on KPIs covering productivity, accuracy, cost and service levels.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer service.
• Ensure warehouse equipment, including reach trucks and forklifts, is maintained and safe to operate.
• Manage relationships with transport providers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, licensing and audit requirements.
• Prepare and manage the warehouse operating budget, controlling costs against agreed targets.
• Manage escalated operational issues and customer complaints.
• Support disciplinary and performance-management processes where required.
• Provide hands-on operational support on the warehouse floor when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager or similar distribution management role.
• Strong experience leading and developing teams within a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and warehouse operating procedures.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Experience managing stock control and inventory accuracy.
• Strong leadership, communication and people-management skills.
• Good commercial and financial awareness.
• Experience managing budgets and operational KPIs.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or Management is desirable.
• Flexibility to work shifts and provide support for out-of-hours operational requirements where necessary.
• Comfortable working within a warehouse environment and providing hands-on support when required.
• Ability to undertake occasional manual handling in line with relevant guidelines.

Health & Safety

The Warehouse Manager will hold overall responsibility for Health & Safety within the warehouse, ensuring policies and procedures are consistently followed.

This includes ensuring appropriate PPE is worn, identifying and managing workplace hazards, and ensuring all incidents, near misses and safety concerns are reported, investigated and addressed promptly.
