Job summary

Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare, Co. Kerry, is seeking a talented and ambitious Sous Chef to join The Falls Kitchen, an award-winning dining destination listed in the Michelin Guide.

You will work under the Executive Head Chef to deliver exceptional dishes in a luxury five-star environment while developing your culinary and leadership skills. This full-time role requires experience in a luxury fine-dining setting, strong cooking skills, and a passion for quality.

Qualifications

• Qualified chef with luxury fine-dining experience.
• Strong culinary knowledge and cooking skills.
• Passion for delivering exceptional quality.
• High standards of food preparation, presentation and detail.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist daily operation of The Falls Kitchen with high standards.
• Maintain high standards during afternoon and evening service.
• Ensure food prep and presentation meet Falls Kitchen standards.
• Apply food safety guidelines and HACCP practices.
• Lead and support Falls Kitchen team during service.
• Support other kitchen sections as needed.
• Maintain an organized, professional kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with Executive Head Chef to maintain quality.
