Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is seeking an Investment Fund Financial Reporting Manager in Dublin. You will oversee a portfolio of asset management and investment fund client engagements, delivering high-quality financial reporting and advisory support.

You will lead teams, review complex statements under US GAAP, IFRS, or Lux GAAP, and contribute to reporting transformation through AI and automation initiatives. This is a technical role requiring strong accounting and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, or CPA.
• 6-8 years' experience in investment fund financial reporting.
• Strong technical knowledge of investment fund reporting under US GAAP, IFRS and/or Lux GAAP.
• Strong stakeholder management and report-writing skills.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
• Experience with fund accounting and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage investment fund financial reporting engagements including quality, resourcing, timelines and budgets.
• Review complex financial statements, disclosures, schedules, and audit packs.
• Advise on technical accounting and disclosure matters for instruments, valuation and consolidation.

Investment Fund Financial Reporting Manager

A leading professional services firm is expanding its Advisory team and is looking to appoint an experienced Investment Fund Financial Reporting Manager.

This is an opportunity for a technically strong financial reporting professional to work with a diverse portfolio of asset management and investment fund clients, lead teams and engagements, and contribute to financial reporting transformation, including AI and automation initiatives.

The Role

You will take responsibility for a portfolio of client engagements, providing high-quality financial reporting and advisory support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing investment fund financial reporting engagements, including quality, resourcing, timelines, budgets and client delivery.
• Reviewing complex financial statements, disclosures, supporting schedules and audit support packs.
• Advising on technical accounting and disclosure matters, including financial instruments, valuation, consolidation, related parties and going concern.
• Managing relationships with clients, auditors and fund administrators.
• Leading and developing teams through coaching, technical guidance and performance management.
• Supporting financial reporting transformation, AI, automation and technology-enabled solutions.
• Contributing to wider fund accounting and regulatory reporting engagements.

About You

• Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, or CPA.
• 6-8 years' experience in investment fund financial reporting.
• Strong technical knowledge of investment fund reporting and experience with complex financial statements under US GAAP, IFRS and/or Lux GAAP.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and report-writing skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines.
• Fund accounting and regulatory reporting.
• Systems such as Geneva, Investran or Yardi.
• Reporting platforms such as Workiva, DFIN/Donnelley, OneStream or similar.
• Experience delivering digital, data, AI, automation or financial reporting transformation projects.
