Job summary

Godfrey North is seeking an experienced financial reporting professional to join our growing funds management advisory team. You will deliver financial reporting engagements, perform business process reviews, remediation projects and provide interim support to leading clients.

You will manage portfolios, review complex statements and lead client relationships with auditors and fund administrators, while driving AI-enabled improvements across the reporting lifecycle.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent IFAC-recognised qualification.
• 6–8 years' experience in investment fund financial reporting.
• At least 3 years' experience leading teams, managing client engagements and overseeing project delivery.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and Lux GAAP as applicable to funds.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of investment fund reporting clients with responsibility for quality, resourcing, timelines and delivery.
• Review financial statements, disclosures and supporting schedules for completeness and consistency.
• Review complex accounting and disclosure matters including valuation, financial instruments and going concern.
• Lead client relationships with auditors and fund administrators; resolve significant reporting issues.
• Develop team capability through coaching and technical training.
• Lead AI and automation initiatives across the financial reporting lifecycle.
• Establish controls around AI use: approved use cases, human review and evidence retention.
• Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
• Support fund accounting engagements and regulatory reporting where required.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced financial reporting professional to join a growing professional services team working with leading funds management clients.

The role will involve delivering financial reporting engagements, business process reviews, remediation projects and interim support assignments. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality delivery against agreed deadlines.

• Manage a portfolio of investment fund reporting clients, with responsibility for quality, resourcing, timelines, budgets and overall delivery.
• Review financial statements, disclosures, supporting schedules and audit support packs for completeness and consistency.
• Review complex accounting and disclosure matters, including valuation, financial instruments, consolidation, related parties and going concern.
• Lead relationships with clients, auditors and fund administrators, resolving significant reporting and audit issues.
• Develop team capability through coaching, technical training, performance support and succession planning.
• Lead AI and automation initiatives across the financial reporting lifecycle.
• Establish appropriate controls around AI use, including approved use cases, human review, evidence retention, access restrictions and issue escalation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
• Support fund accounting engagements and other regulatory reporting activities where required.

Qualifications & Experience

• ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent IFAC-recognised qualification.
• 6–8 years' experience in investment fund financial reporting.
• At least 3 years' experience leading teams, managing client engagements and overseeing project delivery.
• Strong technical knowledge of investment fund financial reporting, including detailed review of complex financial statements and disclosures under US GAAP, IFRS and ideally also Lux GAAP.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication, report writing, commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to assess AI use cases, manage associated risks and identify business value without compromising reporting quality.
• Fund accounting experience, including period-end and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with fund accounting and ERP systems such as Geneva, Investran and Yardi.
• Exposure to financial statement production and reporting platforms including Workiva, DFIN, Confluence and OneStream.
• Experience leading digital, data, AI, automation or financial reporting transformation initiatives within financial services.
• Experience developing technology-enabled reporting solutions and client offerings.
