We're partnering with a leading global asset servicing firm to appoint a Director of Financial Reporting to their Dublin team. This is a senior leadership role where you'll run a fund reporting function through a team of managers, own senior auditor and client relationships, and present directly to fund Boards.
What you'll be doing
- Setting priorities for and overseeing multiple teams preparing and reviewing financial statements for a portfolio of clients and funds
- Leading the function primarily through subordinate managers, owning area goals, talent management and team performance
- Guiding the processes that ensure disclosures are complete and accurate
- Resolving complex issues escalated by your teams
- Managing relationships with senior auditors and clients so reporting meets expectations and accurately reflects fund performance
- Ensuring all reporting meets corporate and regulatory standards
- Leading analysis of changes to accounting and disclosure standards and driving the process changes needed to stay compliant
- Presenting fund reports to Boards of Directors, communicating complex concepts clearly and supporting strong governance
- Recruiting, motivating and developing your people so the team performs at its best
What you'll bring
- 15+ years' experience managing teams of professional staff, ideally within a fund administrator or a Big 4 firm with investment funds exposure
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and Lux GAAP
- A solid understanding of investment fund structures, including mutual funds and hedge funds
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is an advantage, along with a degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- The presence and communication skills to engage confidently at Board level
