Job summary

Armont Recruitment has partnered with a market leading organisation seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join their finance team based in south Dublin on an initial 12-month contract.

This hands-on role will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, lead a team of experienced accountants and remain actively involved in financial reporting, controls, process improvement and commercial finance activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years’ finance management PQE.
• Hands-on Financial Manager with experience in a senior finance role.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.

Responsibilities

Armont have partnered with a market leading organisation seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join their dynamic finance team based in south Dublin on an initial 12-month contract.

This outstanding senior finance opportunity will play a key hands-on Financial Manager role within an established business that has achieved impressive expansion in recent years. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, lead a team of experienced accountants and remain actively involved in financial reporting, controls, process improvement and commercial finance activities.

This role will suit an experienced, hands-on Financial Manager with a minimum of 5+ years’ finance management PQE.

The Role

• Manage a team of experienced accountants
• Provide leadership and direction to the finance team on a day-to-day basis
• Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare and review management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and board reporting packs
• Manage statutory reporting and act as the primary liaison for external auditors
• Maintain a hands-on approach across all aspects of the finance function, providing technical support and guidance to the wider team
• Review and monitor KPIs, identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
• Maintain and oversee internal controls and financial governance processes
• Work with the finance team to drive process improvement and automation initiatives
• Partner with key stakeholders across the business to support commercial and strategic decision-making
• Ad hoc duties and projects to support the evolving business environment

The Candidate

• Qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant with a minimum of 5+ years’ finance management PQE
• Proven experience operating in a hands-on Financial Controller or senior finance management capacity
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Strong leadership qualities and experience of team development
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels across the business
