Job description

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join the finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis and strategic support to management, preparing budgets, developing financial forecasts, and overseeing the month-end close process. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business performance and growth.

Role:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyse financial performance against key business metrics and provide insights to management.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Ensure Revenue compliance across all aspects of the business including prem taxes, VAT, RCT.
• Collaborate with department heads to track and manage departmental budgets.
• Support decision-making processes by providing financial insights and recommendations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Contribute to the facilitation of the annual audit.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the finance function.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role.
• 3 to 5 years accountancy experience, ideally within the construction sector.
• Proficiency in IT (MS Excel, Accounting Software).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
