Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is partnering with a Dublin-based financial services organisation to recruit a Finance Manager. The role reports to the Head of Finance and leads a team, owning a broad remit of financial reporting, regulatory duties and operational finance activities.

Ideal candidates will be a qualified accountant with post-qualification experience, strong analytical skills, and proven ability to manage deadlines and stakeholder relationships in a regulated financial services

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) with post-qualification experience.
• Experience in financial services is preferred.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and develop the finance function.
• Own the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee client asset regulatory controls and bank reconciliations.
• Manage finance operations and ensure accurate processing of transactions.
• Prepare Central Bank regulatory returns and support compliance.
• Act as main point of contact for internal and external auditors.
• Maintain finance policies and identify process improvements.
• Support group finance activities and leadership with commercial opportunities.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a growing financial services organisation based in Dublin. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in overseeing the Finance function, leading a team and taking ownership of a broad range of financial reporting, regulatory and operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and develop the finance
• Own the preparation of monthly management accounts and lead balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee client asset regulatory controls, including daily client money calculations and bank reconciliations.
• Manage finance operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
• Prepare Central Bank regulatory returns and support ongoing compliance requirements.
• Act as the key point of contact for internal and external auditors.
• Maintain finance policies and procedures and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
• Support wider group finance activities and ad hoc projects.
• Support the Head of Finance and leadership team with commercial opportunities

Ideal Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or CIMA) with at least years’ post-qualification experience.
• Previous financial services experience, ideally with exposure to CBI Client Asset Regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a methodical approach.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to meet demanding reporting deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience using AI or technology to improve processes and efficiencies would be an advantage.
