Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in industry.
• Experience in a multi-entity/multi-site environment is highly desirable.
• Experience overseeing staff across Finance functions.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with attention to detail and analytical capability.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Experience with Sage, Workday Adaptive Planning and SQL-based packages is an advantage.
• Proactive, self-motivated and able to take ownership of tasks.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple group companies.
• Group reporting and financial consolidation.
• Variance analysis against budget and prior year.
• Working capital and debtor performance management.
• Development and reporting of KPIs for senior management.
• Revenue and tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax and employer filings.
• Supporting the annual audit and liaising with external auditors.
• Maintaining and strengthening the internal control environment.
• Identifying and implementing finance process improvements.
• Supporting the integration of new businesses and IT systems.

Job description

I’m partnering with an established transport and logistics company based in Dublin 22 who are looking to add an experienced Finance Manager to their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded qualified accountant who enjoys combining strong financial reporting and technical accounting with business partnering, process improvement and strategic decision-making. The position also offers genuine potential for career progression.

Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will play a key role across a multi-company group environment.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple group companies
• Group reporting and financial consolidation
• Variance analysis against budget and prior year
• Working capital and debtor performance management
• Development and reporting of KPIs for senior management
• Revenue and tax compliance, including VAT, Corporation Tax and employer filings
• Supporting the annual audit and liaising with external auditors

Key Requirements:

• Qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in a similar role within industry.
• Experience within a multi-entity or multi-site environment highly desirable
• Experience overseeing/ managing staff across various Finance functions
• Strong technical knowledge in accounting with excellent attention to detail and analytical capability
• Advanced excel skills essential
• Experience with Sage, Workday Adaptive Planning and SQL based in-house packages an advantage
• Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of tasks
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and business partnering skills
