Job summary

Nenagh-based Financial Services group seeks an experienced Finance Director to lead the finance function and drive performance. Reporting to the CFO, you will steer financial reporting, budgeting and strategic initiatives to support continued growth and acquisitions.

The role requires a Qualified Accountant with strong business partnering, governance and leadership skills, ideally with Power BI experience and a track record of scaling finance teams in high-growth environments.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and commercial finance background.
• Experience in multi-entity or group structures and boards reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team and ensure timely, accurate financial information.
• Oversee financial reporting, management accounts and Board reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Manage group consolidations across multiple entities.
• Support M&A activity including financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
• Maintain strong controls, governance and compliance frameworks.

We are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing Financial Services group based in Nenagh to recruit an experienced Finance Director to join their established Finance team.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will lead the finance function, drive financial performance and play a key role in supporting the Group's continued growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely financial information.
• Oversee financial reporting, management accounts and Board reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Manage group consolidations across multiple entities.
• Support M&A activity, including the financial integration of acquired businesses.
• Maintain strong financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks.
• Drive improvements in financial reporting, systems, automation and processes.
• Partner with the CFO and senior leadership team to support strategic and commercial decision-making.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and commercial finance experience.
• Experience operating within a multi-entity or group structure.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning capabilities.
• Experience presenting financial information to Boards and senior leadership teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop finance teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and commercial skills.
• Experience working within a high-growth or acquisitive organisation.
• Exposure to M&A transactions and post-acquisition integration.
• Experience with Power BI, financial systems transformation and automation.
• Experience developing or managing an FP&A function.
