Job summary

ProSource Finance is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function for a growing business based in Sutton, just north of Dublin. You will work closely with senior management to deliver timely financial information, drive process improvements, and support strategic decision-making.

The role reports to senior management and covers financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow and controls.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior accounting role.
• Excellent understanding of financial reporting, management accounts and financial controls.
• Commercially focused with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insight.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with accounting systems.
• Experience managing or mentoring a finance team would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and performance analysis.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Monitor financial performance, identify variances and provide commercial insight to senior management.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and general ledger activities.
• Ensure appropriate financial controls and processes are in place.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks and other professional advisers.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiencies.
• Provide financial guidance and support to the wider management team.
• Lead, support and develop members of the finance team, where applicable.
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and commercial projects as required.
