The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with 10+ years in financial control or senior accounting, strong commercial acumen, and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACCA/CA/CIMA or equivalent.
• 10+ years in financial controller, finance manager or senior accounting roles.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to influence decisions.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Deliver timely financial reporting to support decisions.
• Manage cash flow and working capital requirements.
• Ensure tax and statutory compliance obligations are met.
• Oversee and develop the finance team.
• Drive process improvements across the finance function.
• Support business growth initiatives and commercial projects.
• Liaise with auditors, banks and external advisors.
• Provide financial analysis and performance reporting to senior management.
• Undertake ad hoc projects as required.

Reporting directly to senior leadership, this is a key appointment within the organisation and an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to join a successful business for their next chapter of growth.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the finance function, supporting strategic decision-making, driving process improvements, and providing valuable commercial insight to the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Delivering accurate and timely financial reporting to support business decisions
• Managing cash flow and working capital requirements
• Ensuring all tax and statutory compliance obligations are met
• Overseeing and developing the internal team
• Identifying and implementing process improvements across the finance function
• Supporting business growth initiatives and commercial projects
• Liaising with auditors, banks, and external advisors
• Maintaining robust financial controls and governance procedures
• Providing financial analysis and performance reporting to senior management
• Undertaking additional ad hoc projects and duties as required

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Previous substantial experience (ideally 10 years +) in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or Senior Management Accounting role
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence decision-making
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment would be advantageous
