Job summary

CPL, recruiting for a Financial Controller, seeks an experienced finance leader to drive the function and provide strategic direction across operations. The role reports to the site Director of Operations and will govern monthly closes, budgeting, and governance while guiding commercial and technical leaders.

You will build robust financial controls, deliver detailed analytics, support risk and audits, and mentor your team as the business scales globally. Hybrid work with regional flexibility.

Qualifications

• 3rd level degree in a relevant discipline.
• Fully qualified accountant; Big 3 training preferred but not essential.
• 6-7+ years experience in a Finance Controller / Finance Manager or similar level role.
• Experience in supporting international entities would be a major advantage.
• Experience in growth planning & expansion strategy would be an advantage.
• Excellent IT skills including a high level of ability in all Microsoft applications.
• Proven ERP system experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function and provide strategic financial direction & governance across operations.

• Deliver detailed financial analysis and performance reports for senior leadership.

Our client, a highly successful & fast growing specialist provider of engineering & technical services to the multinational manufacturing sector, have now engaged with us in CPL to assist them in recruiting an experienced Financial Controller who will lead their finance team & help drive the next stage of company growth. The Job

Reporting to the site based Director of Operations, you will be a key part of the senior leadership team & be responsible for leading the finance function as well as providing strategic financial direction & governance across all aspects of business operations.

More specifically you will take ownership of the monthly & annual close processes, develop & maintain robust financial controls, deliver detailed financial analysis & performance reports, oversee risk/compliance & audit processes, coordinate & implement annual budgets, provide financial guidance to commercial & technical leaders, lead business transformation projects, mentor & support your team in their own duties & liaise with the global CFO on all relevant projects for your region.

Your Skills/Experience that we need

The Offer

This position is being offered as a permanent role & salary on offer will depend on skills/experience of the candidate but is expected to range up to 90-95k approx.

This role will be a hybrid position with 2-3 days office based in Limerick city centre & the balance from home/remote so could also suit candidates outside the immediate Limerick region.
