Job summary

HireForce is recruiting a Financial Accountant for a South Tipperary SME. This hands-on role covers financial reporting, management accounts, budgeting, cash flow and day-to-day finance operations.

You will work with senior management to influence business decisions and develop processes in a growing Irish business environment. A qualified accountant with 1+ years' experience and strong Excel skills is ideal.

Qualifications

• Exam qualified accountant.
• At least 1 year of relevant industry experience.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.
• Excellent communication with non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and provide financial analysis to senior management.
• Manage month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
• Monitor business performance and investigate key financial variances.
• Maintain accurate financial records and strong balance sheet controls.
• Assist with VAT, statutory reporting and other compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and professional advisers.
• Oversee elements of the day-to-day finance function, including AP and AR.
• Work closely with different departments to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Support the development of accounting systems and reporting efficiencies.
• Assist with ad hoc finance projects and business improvement initiatives.
