Job summary

CMV Consulting Partners is hiring a Financial Accountant in Dublin 4. You will work closely with European Financial Controller and senior finance leadership, handling financial reporting, tax, payroll and compliance across European operations.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years post-qualified experience, ACA/ACCA, and a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, with SAP experience and strong attention to detail.

• At least 3 years' overall experience within an accounting or finance environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records (invoices, receipts, payments, GL).
• Reconcile and review general ledger accounts.
• Analyse financial information and provide insights for management decisions.
• Monitor and manage cash flow requirements.
• Manage payroll-related activities across jurisdictions (shadow payroll).
• Prepare VAT and tax returns and payments.
• Review financial results for Transfer Pricing compliance.
• Support development and implementation of financial policies.
• Monitor project supply chains for regulatory compliance.
• Assist with financial statements and management reports.
• Manage the audit process across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with HR on employment policies and processes.
• Support establishment of new European entities.
• Provide financial analysis for ad hoc projects.
• Mentor other finance team members.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a well-established and highly successful international organisation based in Dublin 4.

This is a broad and varied finance role offering excellent exposure across financial reporting, tax, payroll, compliance and European operations. You will work closely with senior finance leadership and have the opportunity to play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the business across Europe.

The role would particularly suit a recently qualified accountant or someone with 1-3 years' post-qualified experience who is looking for greater responsibility, variety and strong long-term career progression.

The Role

Reporting directly to the European Financial Controller, you will work closely with the wider accounting, tax and accounts payable teams, as well as stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, payments and general ledger transactions
• Reconciling and reviewing general ledger accounts
• Analysing financial information and providing insights to support management decision-making
• Monitoring and managing cash flow requirements
• Managing payroll-related activities across relevant jurisdictions, including shadow payroll

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• ACA or ACCA qualification
• A minimum of 1 year post-qualified experience
