Job summary

Wallace Myers International in Dublin is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its EMEA Finance team on a 12-month contract. The role covers monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting for European entities, with collaboration across accounting processes, compliance, and business partnering activities.

The ideal candidate is a qualified or finalist ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA, with strong Excel skills and ERP experience, capable of supporting audits, VAT, and statutory requirements while driving process

Qualifications

• Qualified or finalist ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA.
• Experience in multinational/shared services/corporate finance.
• Strong financial reporting and month-end/balance sheet reconciliations.
• Exposure to audits, VAT, and statutory compliance.
• Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP advantageous.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting for European entities.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Take ownership of key areas including fixed assets, intercompany accounting, AP, AR, cash, and VAT reporting.
• Coordinate and support statutory audits and local compliance requirements.
• Work closely with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Operations, and other finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Liaise with external advisors and service providers regarding local accounting and compliance matters.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives, internal controls, and finance transformation projects.
• Support ad hoc projects and business initiatives as required.

Our client, a leading multinational organisation, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its EMEA Finance team on an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or finalist accountant to gain exposure to a complex international environment, supporting financial reporting, statutory compliance, and business partnering activities across multiple European entities.

Duties:

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting for a portfolio of European entities.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.

• Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is advantageous.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
