Job summary

Collins McNicholas Recruitment & HR Services Group is partnering with a well-established FMCG business in Dublin 12 to recruit a Financial Accountant. The role covers month-end reporting, statutory accounts, budgeting support and business partnering within a fast-paced environment.

This position offers broad responsibility across financial reporting, controls and process improvement, with hybrid working (2 days from home).

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in FMCG/manufacturing/retail or fast-paced commercial environment.
• Experience preparing management accounts, financial reporting and month-end close.
• Experience with Revenue compliance, VAT returns and intercompany reconciliations.
• Experience using an integrated ERP system; IFS experience advantageous.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Payroll experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support monthly management accounts process including journal postings and month-end reporting.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and reconcile monthly intercompany accounts.
• Support capital expenditure monitoring, evaluating proposals and controlling spend.
• Assist with statutory financial statements preparation and external audits.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure Revenue compliance including monthly and bi-monthly returns.
• Provide cross-functional support across the finance team including payroll where required.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting efficiencies.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting and business improvement projects.

Our client, a well-established and growing FMCG business based in Dublin 12, is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accountant looking to develop their career within a fast-paced commercial environment, gaining exposure to financial reporting, management accounting, compliance, and business partnering.

This position offers a broad and varied role with responsibility across month-end reporting, statutory accounts, budgeting support, and continuous process improvement.

Permanent contract with Hybrid working, 2 days work from home.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Payroll experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
