Job summary

Nexus Recruitment Partners in Shannon is seeking a qualified accountant to join a locally managed corporate service provider in the Aircraft Leasing sector. The role offers hybrid working (2 days in the office), a competitive benefits package, and 25 days of annual leave.

Candidates from Practice or with experience in preparing financial statements will gain exposure to the full finance function, with opportunities for career progression and board reporting.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with ACCA/ACA/CPA or CIMA.
• 0–3 years post-qualification experience.
• Knowledge of Irish GAAP and IFRS.
• Excellent IT skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Produce management accounts and statutory financial statements.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flows.
• Manage accounts payables and receivables for client companies.
• Support internal and external audit.
• Payroll processing.
• VAT PAYE/PRSI and Corporation Tax Returns.
• Report to boards and prepare board presentations.
• Other ad-hoc duties.

We are delighted to be partnering with a Locally Managed Corporate Service Provider who specialises in the Aircraft Leasing sector. They are looking to add a Qualified Accountant to their Shannon based office.

Our client is at an exciting stage of its development and offers excellent career advancement prospects. There is hybrid working (2 days in the office) bonus, benefits & 25 days Annual Leave.

This role would suit someone coming from straight from Practice or who has experience in preparing Financial Statements. This role will give exposure to the full finance functions.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare consolidated financial statements
• Producing Management Accounts & statutory financial statements
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flows;
• Manage the accounts payables and accounts receivables functions of client companies
• Support internal/external audit
• Payroll processing
• VAT PAYE/PRSI and Corporation Tax Returns;
• Report directly to the boards of client companies and prepare board presentations.
• Other ad-hoc duties

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA or CIMA)
• 0-3 years PQE
• Knowledge of Irish GAAP and IFRS
• Excellent IT skills
• Strong communication skills
