Job summary

Le Meas Executive Search is partnering with a leading professional services firm to recruit an accounting professional for a rapidly expanding finance team. The candidate will support qualified accountants and controllers in financial reporting, tax, and regulatory reporting across SPVs.

Ideal for a part qualified accountant from a top 20 practice or financial services sector, seeking diverse experience in Aviation Finance, CLOs, CDOS, and SPVs with strong progression to qualify as an accountant

Qualifications

• 2+ years accounting experience; strong understanding of debits/credits and general ledger.
• Intent to qualify as an accountant within 3 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and posting of accounting journals, including accruals and prepayments, for SPVs.
• Completion of bank reconciliations and posting of entries to the general ledger.
• Assist in preparation of annual financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP.
• Active involvement in audit preparation and audit query resolution.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for SPVs.
• Liaising with banks, auditors and other third parties to ensure audit confirmations are issued and received on time.
• Assisting in the preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns.
• Preparation and submission of quarterly regulatory returns within applicable deadlines.
• Coordinating with the accounting team to meet reporting deadlines.

The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced and expanding accounting team and support qualified accountants and controllers in financial reporting, tax preparation & regulatory and management reporting.

This a great opportunity for a part qualified accountant from a top 20 accounting practice or from the financial services sector, to be part of a huge expansion and gain diverse accounting experience across Aviation Finance, CLOs, CDOS and SPVs.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and posting of accounting journals, including accruals and prepayments, for a variety of SPVs in accordance with deadlines.
• Completion of bank reconciliations and posting of related journal entries to the general ledger.
• Working closely with experienced accountants and assisting in the preparation of annual financial statements under IFRS and local GAAP.
• Active involvement in audit preparation and audit query resolution, working with qualified team members to ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of SPVs.
• Liaising with banks, auditors and other third parties to ensure audit confirmations are issued and received on a timely basis.
• Assisting in the preparation of corporation tax and VAT returns.
• Preparation and filing of statistical returns with the Central Bank of Ireland.
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of quarterly regulatory returns within applicable deadlines.

Requirements:

• 2 + years accounting experience and a good understanding of accounting - debits / credits, general ledger
• Be intent to qualify as an accountant within 3 years of start date.
